Vernon Hart

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Vernon Wesley Hart, who departed this life on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Richmond, Virginia, at the age of 64.

Vernon was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby D. Spencer; his father, William Spencer; and his brother, Cornelius Hart.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving sisters, Nannette, Sharlene, and Iris Hart; step-brother, Milton; his beloved aunts, Carrie and Sheila; his uncles, Dallas and Howard; his nieces, Khaleliah and Khadejah; his nephews, Kolbi, K'Var, and Billy; his great-niece, Nylah; his great-nephews, Karter, Nehemiah and Brandon ... here from the beginning to the end; his cherished godchildren, Jabara, Cevita, Trishawana, Dakota, Brandon, Devonya, and devoted Cayla; devoted friend, Shelley; cousins, Vivian, Letetia, Tonia, Deborah, Pedros, and Shawn; a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Vernon was a family man who dedicated many years of service to MCV Associated Physicians. He was known for his love of cooking, fashion, and music. He often showed his family and friends his love through his food. His presence, his style, and spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
