Warren Edmund Powell, 75 of Richmond, VA was called to his heavenly home Saturday, July 14, 2018. Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and the Virginia Air National Guard; Retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service; National Comptroller/Treasurer of the National Alliance of Postal and Federal Employees; Host of the radio show "Let's Get It On". Preceded in death by his wife Diane C. Powell, he is survived by his children Natalie, Stephanie and Christopher Powell, daughter-in-law Charlisa Powell; grandchildren Jelan Z. Powell, Laila D. Powell and Landon C. Powell; devoted friend Nicolasa Braughtly, children Edwin Long-Braughtly and Ingrid Bernal, grandchildren Jordyne Long, Iliana Cruz, Heather Soto, Jose Bernal, Tatiana Bernal and a host of family and friends. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home where viewing will be held Wednesday, July 18, 2018 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, July 19, 2018 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., where the family will receive friends 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral service 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at Mimms Funeral Home Chapel. Interment at Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia Court House, VA 23002.
