Wazir Yahya Shabazz (Jack McKinley Logan), the third child of Felix and Frances Stokes Logan was born on July 23, 1946 in Farmville, VA.\n\n\n\nHe received his education in Prince Edward County until the high school closed and continued his studies in Richmond, VA. Wazir relocated to Long Island, Westbury, NY in 1964 to complete his high school education. He also completed two years of community college in New York.\n\n\n\nNovember 6, 1965 he was joined in wedlock to Helen E. Atkinson and from this union three children were born: Jacqueline, Jerrold, and Pamela.\n\n\n\nAfter 25 years of being a dedicated manager at Car Pool Auto Wash located on Chamberlayne Avenue Wazir retired. As an entrepreneur, he started ReMake detailing cars. This is what he's always been passionate about and encouraged others to follow his lead and/or join him. Wazir was a people person and would strike up a conversation with anyone at any given time.\n\n\n\nOn November 24, 2021, our beloved Wazir transitioned. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Felix and Frances Stokes Logan; brother, James Logan.\n\n\n\nWazir leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted and dedicated wife, Helen E. Logan; children, Jacqueline L. Middleton (Samuel) of Summerville, SC, Jerrold Logan (Lisa) of Richmond, VA, Pamela Logan-Brown (Joseph) of North Chesterfield, VA, Kim Cobbs (Eric) of Henrico, VA, Amy Baker (Charles) of Farmville, VA, Abdul and Jameelah Shabazz of Richmond, VA, grandchildren: Chantelle (Marcus), Shakeia (LaGuardia), Samuel Jordan, Joseph "Trey", Jayden, Kadir, Erykah, Kierra, Cierra, Sariyah, Emani, Ahmad and Essence; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Grace Logan of Farmville, VA, Dorothy Taylor (Arthur) and Laurence Logan of Richmond, VA; sister-in-law Mary L. Watkins (Bobby) of North Charleston, SC; brother-in-law, Franklin Atkinson of Ladson, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.\n\nA celebration of life will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021 Mimms Chapel at 1:00PM. Interment Maury Cemetery.
