Willie "Cory" Henderson

On September 26,2026 Willie Henderson departed this life at Chippenham Hospital with his family by his side. Born November 5, 1968, to mother Barbara Ann Henderson and stepfather James “Jimmy” Nicholas (deceased), Willie was blessed with 57 years of life. He accepted Christ at an early age with Dr. Shannon at Centralia Baptist Church in Chester, VA.

Willie graduated from Thomas Dale High School in 1987, then he began his career at DuPont Spruance Plant in Richmond, VA. He worked there for many years, creating a fun work environment with his coworkers. He retired in 2018 due to health conditions.

Willie was passionate about his yard work and always advised others on his skills. He had a huge heart and loved helping others. He found extreme happiness and joy working outside in the yard, detailing his cars, and the love of his New York Giants.

Willie was a man who always took pride in his appearance with his signature style, confidence, and attention to detail. Whether he was dressed up or keeping it casual, he carried himself with a presence that was unforgettable. Willie had a good sense of humor and always had a response for anything that came his way. He had a way of making people smile, even during the hardest moments. His jokes, laughter, and playful personality brought joy to everyone around him, and those memories will be cherished forever.

Left to cherish his beautiful memories is his devoted beloved fiancé; Annette Turner, loving daughters; Jazlyn Henderson and Destyni Sheed, mother; Barbara Ann Henderson, brothers; Jeff Henderson and James Henderson; and a host of family and friends.

Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in knowing that his wisdom and memories will live on through everyone who knew and loved him. His presence may be gone from our sight, but know that he will be forever loved, missed, and remembered.
