Xavion Drake

Xavion Drake was born on November3, 2007, in Washington, D.C., and from the moment he arrived, he brought light, laughter, and love into the world. On June 20, 2025, that light returned to Heaven, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of joy that will never be forgotten.

Xavion was more than a son - he was a gift. Raised by a devoted and loving single mother who gave him her whole heart, he was surrounded by care, strength, and unwavering support every day of his life. That love shaped him into a respectful, driven, and deeply compassionate young man who touched the lives of everyone around him.

He was a proud and loving brother to his two siblings, a playful and caring uncle to his nephew, and a bright star in the eyes of his extended family. He brought people together through his music, his dancing, and a smile that could light up any room. His presence was joyful and full of life, and he had a way of making others feel seen, heard, and loved.

Xavion was actively involved in his faith and was a member of Speaking Spirit Ministries, where his light shined even brighter. He embraced his church family and gave of himself through his energy, spirit, and the power of his words. His community loved him deeply and will feel the weight of his absence for years to come.

He is preceded in death by his loving Nana, Rita Garrett of Bowling Green, Kentucky and his father, Kenyon "Mario" Reddick of Savannah, Georgia; grandfather Roger Hopkins of Savannah Georgia, whom he now joins in eternal rest.

Xavion leaves behind his heartbroken, but deeply proud mother, Charmaine; his two brothers, Demonte and Emmanuel; his cherished nephew, Jayden; his Papa Dante Garrett of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and his grandmother Kirban Hopkins of Savannah, Georgia; and Godmother, Patricia Vaughan. He also leaves behind devoted aunts, uncles, and a host of cousins, as well as countless friends and loved ones in his community and church family.

Though his time on this earth was far too short, Xavion's spirit, his laughter, and the love he gave so freely will live on in each of us. He was a gift to this world - and now, he is our angel.
