Zemoria Friend Hickerson Obituary (1927

HICKERSON, Mrs. Zemoria Friend, of Temple Hill, Md., formerly of Chesterfield, departed this life March 26, 2010. She was predeceased by her parents; and three of her siblings, Irving, Hilton and Roscoe Friend. She and her brother, Thomas Hugo, passed within three days of each other. In addition to Theron Finney Jr., she leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Earl Hickerson; a devoted goddaughter, Joan Friend Chapman (Aaron); two additional godchildren, Laurinda F. Davis and Howard Boisseau Jr.; three sisters-in-law, Doris T. Friend, Helen B. Friend and Marylee R. Friend; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; including one lifelong friend, Jeanette Burgess. Remains rest at Mimms Funeral Home, 1827 Hull Street. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 2, 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 2920 Kingsdale Rd. Dr. Wilson E.B. Shannon, pastor, officiating. Remains will rest in church two hours prior to service. Interment Friend Family Cemetery.
